Earlier this month, nine incarcerated women became graduates from our seminary-level course in a maximum security prison!
God Behind Bars recently launched a seminary-style Bible course with The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI) and we have 230 inmates in a Biblical Studies certificate class now! Incarcerated students complete a year’s worth of curriculum, totaling 600 hours of being in the Bible, and we’ve launched 10 of these classes in 10+ prisons! This is our second-ever graduating class!
We had 9 graduates, many of which are going on to complete a 2 year certificate course on Christian Leadership, and many of whom have also never graduated from anything before. We’re SO proud of these women of God and can’t wait to see how the Lord uses them right where they are!
Would you give a gift to help up launch even more course locations and reach more people with the gospel?
After reunifications in Oklahoma and Las Vegas, we went to Texas, and in Bartlett and Allred we watched 98 more children run into the arms of their parents in a family reunification that was as amazing as any other so far.
Thanks to your generosity, God Behind Bars hosted a powerful father-daughter dance at San Quentin Prison, restoring family bonds and creating unforgettable moments of healing and hope.
There has never been a greater urgency to reach men and women behind bars. The cycle of generational incarceration is massive, but together we get to do something about it. Whether you choose to give once or monthly, know that your donation is not only helping here on earth, but is changing eternities forever.
