God Behind Bars just hosted a speaker event with Maria Durso of Saints Church in a maximum security women’s prison in New York, and it was incredible! 56 women attended to hear worship and a message, which was 10% of the whole prison’s population! Six women then gave their lives to Jesus for the very first time, and many more seeds were planted through this event that we were able to be a part of.
Please join us in praying for the women who just said yes to Jesus for the first time, the women who haven’t yet turned their lives over to him, and for favor as we begin to launch a new God Behind Bars prison location there, too!
The trial had dragged on for months. When the final verdict was read, the last holdout on the jury voted guilty. Bruce Davis stood in silence as the judge’s words landed like a hammer: life in prison. His mind flooded with memories of the violence, drugs, and deception that had brought him to this moment.
